About Factor 4 Treatment
Factor4 is an anti-aging treatment that can contain growth factors, anti-inflammatory and repair compounds. Factor4 can stimulate the naturally occurring collagen in your skin to promote elasticity, boost volume and aid in healing. It can also promote hair follicle health, helping to regrow hair for people experiencing hair loss or thinning.
Whether you choose this treatment for hair or skin, the procedure is fairly similar. You’ll start with a consultation to discuss your skin or hair condition as well as the goals for the procedure. The Consultant, nurse or doctor will help you determine if you’re a suitable candidate for this treatment.
If you decide to move forward, a sample of your blood will be extracted. The registered nurse or doctor will remove enough blood to produce the total amount of serum that you’ll need for the entire treatment plan. Practitioners typically remove two 10-milliliter vials of blood if you are undergoing 4 separate treatments.
Then, your blood is processed using patented technologically advanced tubing, which can produce highly concentrated growth factors. This 6–9 hour incubation process can separate the cellular matter of your blood and can extract the super-concentrated rich growth factors and cytokines from your blood.
After that, the blood is separated with a centrifuge to remove platelets, cells and plasma. The process transforms the blood into a serum that can contain four times as much growth factor as the original sample.
For hair, the growth factors and cytokines are then reintroduced into stubborn areas of the scalp where hair loss has occurred (typically crown and temple) via injections. Then the micro-needling process begins. Micro-needling creates small and controlled injuries to the scalp. Micro-needling can encourage blood flow and can send signals to the body to produce growth factors that are responsible for hair regrowth. When the Factor4 serum is applied along with the micro-needling procedure, it will sink deeply into the scalp and can begin the hair regrowth process.
For skin, the growth factors and cytokines are reintroduced into problem areas (typically under eyes, and cheeks) via injections. Then the micro-needling process begins. Micro-needling creates small and controlled injuries to the skin, which can send signals to the body to produce growth factors that can be responsible for healing and skin rejuvenation. When the Factor4 serum is applied along with the micro-needling procedure, it will sink deeply into the skin and can begin the healing process to rejuvenate your skin.

Difference Between PRP and Factor4
Factor4 and PRP are considered similar, however, there are some differences. Both begin with blood extraction and involve separating the liquid to concentrate the healing factors. However, PRP is often activated by the addition of certain liquids, such as thrombin or calcium chloride. Factor4 uses only the compounds that came from your own blood.
When you undergo PRP therapy, blood samples are usually taken each time you arrive for treatment. Although extracting blood is fairly painless, many people would prefer to limit the procedure if possible.
Finally, Factor4 can produce four times as many growth factors as PRP treatments. The additional growth factors may deliver results more effectively and quickly than PRP.
